When I first connected with Chandni of “mominthebay” fame, we hit it off instantly in terms of the creative liberty she gave me to do this shoot. Going with the flow always gives us the best kind of images. Chintan, Chandni and little Raj are absolute family goals and I was really excited to be a part of their precious journey of going from three members to four, very very soon! Hope you like the images below :)

Lil M traveled from Mysore to Bangalore for her sitter session with her awesome parents! Little did I know I'd be making a sweet new friend in a matter of seconds into the shoot. I don't want to say too much because the images show it all.
It was amazing to see her parents just have a simple conversation with her to elicit those smiles!
Sitter sessions are best done when your little one has just learnt to sit independently (typically 8 months+). They can be done either indoors or outdoors or a combination of both.
When mommy S emailed me for a shoot, she didn't mention her adorable pets at first. Only closer to the date did I know that she has two adorable shitzus. Now I don't have the same amount of experience with pets as I do with babies but little did I realise they're the same as little toddlers who want to be around their parents at most times.
I very boldly suggested that we split the shoot with expecting mom + dad first, and then include her pets. And as most pet owners would already know, they refused to keep any distance. They would wander and find a comfortable spot in every frame of mine. All I had to do was adapt, get their attention too and voila! Every image was personalised beautifully :) What made this a whole lot easier was that this couple was extremely comfortable in front of the camera, making up for all the magic ingredients these image contain :)
As expected, every image had multiple subjects bringing so much life to them and of course, Love! The more shoots I do with pets, the more I want them in my frame. They're crazy, unpredictable and absolutely adorable just like my babies!!
What excites me more is when her baby Boy is all grown up and is interacting with her pets - now that's gonna be a whole lotta love to deal with.
I reached out to Mommies C + A, having worked with them before, to lend me their babies for a shoot! They are babies no more, but walking, talking smart little toddlers who were my stars for the day. I just wanted to capture the innocent interactions between two boys meeting for the second time (First time doesn't count cos they were one year old then).
When the mommies met, each one picked up the other mom's child, so the boys disliked each other instantly. However, when we began the shoot, we kept placing them together in the same frame and slowly each one took the initiative to make peace. The images below are more than just heart-warming. Its adorable how they reacted to the various factors such location, plants around them, their outfits (which were coincidentally matching!!!!) and my call-outs.
I'm always doing Model-calls for experimental shoots and if you want to lend me your baby for a day, pleaseeee drop us an email at email@example.com with your mini's images. And pretty please, give us time to get back to you!
I consider myself lucky to meet this little cutie. Having met his parents from their Baby shower and Maternity Shoot days, I was waiting to see him until we did his 6th month shoot! A complete natural in front of the camera, this cutie patootie looks right into my lens and smiles effortlessly. At 12 months, this only got better!
K + G hosted a car-themed birthday party for Avyaan's 1st and he was the friendliest host being carried around and kissed by all his guests without any fusses!
Hope you like the images below!
When Ranjith and Priya reached out to me for their twins' shoot, I went over and met them to see the kids and plan the shoot out. I must say that she is the most chilled out mom (to twins) I had met in a while. She made the job of raising twins seem so easy and with experience, I knew it wasn't! And then I realised, she's just a supermom in disguise and someone I wanted to be like when I have kids!
The two teletubbies were a breeze to work with because we did the right things at their age. Being toddlers, they don't like being carried too much, so we completed all the family portraits at the beginning and then we put them down to run around and explore the resort! All my poses were centred around 'fun'. It would have to be around a playful action so the kids naturally enjoyed it and there were no forceful smiles. Towards the end, P + R were a little tired and so were the kids, so we got them to sit down and eat (which is where you will see them seated, smiling and posing for the camera with so much ease).
Toddlers are just so much fun to capture if you ensure they have a good time and you work around their needs! If you don't, well, you better know how to handle toddler tantrums ;)
Location: Taj Fisherman's Cove, Chennai
Its one thing to be carefree as a child, its another thing to be raised by carefree, happy parents. The pressure to raise a child well is monumental no doubt, but I absolutely loved the relaxed and free ambience B + V created for their little boy.
Poses were not so much for the camera but an opportunity to cuddle with their cutie genuinely. Encouraging him every step of the way, these three were so much fun to work with. And Arjun, well, you and I will both agree he is an absolute charmer! <3
I remember, exactly 10 years ago, I was anticipating my sisters twins' birth with a lot of excitement. The idea of seeing twins in our family is beyond fascinating! Now of course, my brats are turning 10 and they're great company no doubt, but I miss them being tiny, y'know? When they learnt to crawl and walk, it meant that we were greeted at the door by two bundles rushing towards us to be picked up! And they would scheme up a million ways to block the exit when we had to leave their house.
Getting to the point, I am always always excited about capturing twins because it reminds me of my niece and nephew's younger days. So when I walked into Mommy A's house, I was greeted by two dolled up twins smiling at me, followed by a million giggles throughout the shoot. And really, they remind me of fluffed up soft toys that made me want to drop my camera and cuddle them in my lap. I'm sure you will feel the same with the gallery below.
Sometimes I feel like even pictures can't do justice to the life, the personality and the fun babies are expressing. I'm just blessed to be able to share moments with them as well as preserve them for their families!
I'm definitely going to be more than biased blogging about my two best friends and their little one that's almoostttt here!!
Keeping this real, simple and true to who they are, we did the shoot indoors in their cosy home, with their first child Waffle. Being artists, they were extremely comfortable posing albeit the posed images I convinced them to do.
Indoor shoots have a certain charm that stays personal to you, your family and is timeless. Its beautiful to enter people's homes and capture them in their familiar surroundings that define their 'real' personality and comfort. And hey, put a baby or two in the frame and am sorted!
P.s. Cannot wait to see their tiny human anytime now! <3
I absolutely love it when couples come back to me for their shoots. Having covered their Seemandham (Traditional Baby Shower), I recently did their Maternity Portrait. The chemistry between them is so beautiful and effortless, making this session so much more interesting! And as you can see, Mommy here is a natural in front of the camera!
I can't wait to share their newborn session images that will follow soon on this blog!
The moment I hear 'twins', my eyes light up like one of my 2-year old toddler clients seeing bubbles gush out of my bubble-gun.
