Happy Valentine's Day!

True love is eternal. And Valentine’s Day is a day dedicated to telling the people in your life, how much they mean to you and to celebrating love in all its purest forms.

All of us experience love several times throughout our life, in different phases of our life as a child, as a friend, as a spouse, as a parent.., though it is all termed as love, every time we experience it, the feeling is overwhelming and like never before.

Newborns are innocent charms. They mark the beginning of a beautiful dream, hope and togetherness. A child snuggles its way into the heart of its parents even before it is placed in their arms. As children we only seek unconditional love and give back nothing but the same.

Aaron Siskind nailed it when he quoted, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching and of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. It remembers little things, even long after you have forgotten everything”.

As a photographer, it is magical to capture these precious memories of a child, while the child is dwelling in its own world of thoughts and behaviors. The focus of the camera does not interrupt the child from being itself, which is possibly one of the most natural forms of capturing a moment. The laughter, the tears, the frowns and the endless joy that can be witnessed on the face of the parents is one of a kind which can never be expressed in words.

You cannot make a child laugh until it feels the happiness.  While we all grow up to be conscious about most of our words and our actions, a child does not struggle to decide between its mind and its heart. And this is what makes it even the more special. Capturing these irreplaceable moments as a photographer is a whole new level of experience.

Days and years pass by, but while we sit back to  look at these photographs it brings in immense joy while we wonder why children grow up so quickly.

So this valentine’s, let’s celebrate and cherish the love and make memories that can last forever, just like the family below!
